My Short Story

My quest to replace store bought nonstick cooking sprays with a refillable version began decades ago.

Over the years, I have purchased multiple versions, only to have them fail pretty quickly.

About a year ago I decided, once again, to try to find a refillable version I could live with.

After spending more time than one should probably spend looking for such an item, I settled on the  FLAIROSOL® Olivia Advanced Sprayer.

Bingo!  Mission Accomplished!

I have been using it daily for over a year, and I have absolutely no complaints!

Why was I so determined to find a refillable cooking spray bottle?

I wanted to be able to use my own olive oil when cooking.

Two of the breakfast staples in our home is over-easy eggs and homemade waffles.

In both instances, I use cooking spray, and I prefer my own honest to goodness olive oil, not a concoction served up in a pressurized can.

That’s only two instances.  I use cooking spray extensively when cooking.

I don’t like contributing to the landfill problem.

Once and done cans of nonstick cooking sprays contribute to the problem.

Refillable cans do not.

It’s a no brainer.

One can may not seem like a big deal, but imagine the impact if everyone made that one simple switch!

There are a couple of things worth noting about the FLAIROSOL® Olivia Advanced Sprayer.

This particular sprayer is made of glass.

Glass was an intentional choice for me.

In my experience, glass is easier to clean and stays looking nice far longer than plastic.

If you peek at this sprayer on Amazon, you will immediately see less expensive options.

Don’t be tempted.  The price difference isn’t worth it.  If you’re going to purchase a refillable sprayer, get one that you know will last.

Keep in mind, this particular sprayer is chef level.

Any issues?

No none.

Unless you count the fact that occasionally my sprayer sprouts wings and goes next door to visit my daughter.

Eventually, I figure it out and go next door to retrieve it.  Problem solved!

In all seriousness, if you really want to replace your store bought nonstick cooking spray with a refillable cooking spray bottle, my recommendation is the FLAIROSOL® Olivia Advanced Sprayer.

Find it here on Amazon!
