Slicing and Dicing Made Easy!

Peeled and diced potatoes in a bowl

Would you like an easy way to make the slicing and dicing during meal prep effortless?

The official name of one of my favorite kitchen tools is the Prep Works Slice and Dice Chopper.

I refer to it as my potato ninja.

It makes dicing potatoes not only effortless, but actually kind of fun!

My  Story

Decades ago, I decided to make potato salad my signature dish for any large gathering.

Making ten pounds of potato salad was a time-consuming undertaking.

Until my sister introduced me to what she referred to as her potato ninja.

It was a game changer.

Not only did it make dicing the potatoes effortless, it cut the time it took down to almost nothing.

Now I consider making potato salad one of my superpowers.

Not to brag but I can make ten pounds of potato salad, start to finish, in an hour or less.

While I do use it for other fruits and veges, I purchased it solely on its capacity to make quick work of dicing potatoes.

There are a few things that make the Prep Works Slice and Dice Chopper worth the investment.

The absolute most important feature for me is the ability of the chopper to make short work of dicing potatoes.

I make a lot of potato-based side dishes, and this chopper makes short work of dicing the potatoes.

The diced potatoes are diced into small, uniform pieces so that all the pieces cook evenly in the same amount of time.

As a bonus, they look pretty when served.

While dicing potatoes is the biggest draw for me, that’s not the only thing for which you can use it.

The chopper comes with three interchangeable blades for slicing and dicing a variety of other fruits and vegetables.

Two of the other things for which I frequently use it are onions and apples.

As long as the fruit or vegetable is no harder than a potato, you should be able to use the chopper to slice or dice it.

The blades are all stored inside the chopper.

The Prep Works Slice and Dice Chopper is easy to clean and maintain.

It comes with its only little fork that makes short work of cleaning out the little grid.  As long as you don’t lose that, clean up of the grid is a breeze.

After you clean out the grid, the whole thing is dishwasher safe.

It is durable.

I am on my second chopper.

My first one was purchased a number of years ago; I honestly have no guess on how many.

The second one was purchased about a year ago and is still holding up even after enduring a lot of use and abuse. (My grandkids love to use it and SLAM it down on the potatoes.)

One thing to note is the price.

When the first one finally busted, I saw a knock-off in a discount store.

I was tempted to get it, but having fallen in love with the Prep Works version years earlier, I passed and bought the one I knew I loved.

When I relayed that experience to my sister, she said she had bit and bought the less expensive version.

Her plan was to ditch it and go back to the Prep Works.  According to her, there is no comparison in the quality.

If your meal prep has a lot of slicing and dicing involved, I would highly recommend that you buy yourself the Prep Works Slice and Dice chopper.

It is worth the investment!
